I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be offering a sound healing session at the Art Gallery of Algoma!! I’m looking forward to the night, and look forward to it being the beginning of a regular series there – being surrounded by sound and art is an amazing way to get the rest and recovery you need.
Your nervous system has been running on high alert all day. This session gives it permission to pause.
Join me for an evening experience combining Qigong and crystal singing bowl sound immersion – two practices with deep roots and measurable physiological effects that work together to bring your body out of chronic stress and into genuine rest.
The session opens with a short Qigong movement practice. Developed over 6,000 years ago in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong uses slow, intentional movement and breath to restore circulation, release held tension, and reconnect awareness to the body – preparing your nervous system to fully receive what comes next.
From there, pure quartz crystal singing bowls take over. Specific sound frequencies measurably shift brain activity from high-alert into deep rest, reduce cortisol levels, and activate your body’s natural recovery state. You don’t need to understand the science for it to work. Your body already knows how to respond.
This is not background music. This is a precise physiological experience that leaves most people feeling like they slept for hours.
No prior experience required. Just show up and get comfortable.
What to bring: yoga mat, comfortable clothing, blankets, pillows, eye mask, water, and anything else that helps you feel at ease. Chairs will be available upon request to accommodate all comfort levels.
